Milestones
November 6th., 2010 - O'Connells in Donnybrook opened. Our milestones to Donnybrook are as follows :
On August 2nd, 1999 Tom O'Connell & Rory O’Connell combined their experience to bring Dublin a bright, airy and modern restaurant with exceptional food - offering value for money at all times of the day.
On October 31st, 2008 Tom took his Restaurant ‘from whence he came’ ... into the heart of Ballsbridge to The D4 Berkeley Hotel (formerly The Berkeley Court Hotel) on Lansdowne Road.
and since November 2010, O'CONNELLS Restaurant re-opened in Donnybrook on the corner of Morehampton Road and Belmont Avenue.
O'CONNELLS in Ballsbridge has been listed since the Year 2000 in the ‘Bridgestone Best In Ireland Guide’ and in Georgina Campbell's Guides.
O'CONNELLS is an independent restaurant offering the very best of Irish ingredients from noon to 10.00pm - Tuesday to Sunday.
(We are closed on Mondays, however we will be happy to open for Private Hire).
We make all our pastries and bake our own brown bread twice a day.
We use the finest of Irish meats and fish.
Our food Producers/Suppliers have been our difference over the years:
- Beef is Irish Hereford Prime
- Lamb is from Irish Country Meats, Camolin, Co Wexford
- Pork is free-range from T. J. Crowe, Co Tipperary
- Fish is from Shellfish de la Mer.
- Ducks are from The Steele Family in Co Monaghan
- Organic Chicken is by Mrs O’Regan in Co Wexford
- Nora O’Grady’s, Inch House Black Pudding (Thurles, Co Tipperary)
- Bill Casey’s Shanagarry Smoked Organic Irish Salmon
- Bacon for our warm salad is Fingal Ferguson’s Smoked Gubbeen Bacon
Capacity
O'CONNELLS Restaurant has a seating capacity of about 100 persons on the ground floor with a small bar area.
On the first floor, The Belmont Room is set up for private/ semi-private parties for up to about 80 persons with its own facilities.
